TaxRateCentral — User Guide

TaxRateCentral maintains US sales tax rates in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The TaxRateCentral service supplies the state, county, city, and special district rates for each post code. The app uses those rates to create the Business Central tax areas, tax jurisdictions, and tax details. It assigns a tax area code to customers, ship-to addresses, and sales and service documents from the post code. It also stores the tax exempt certificates of your customers by state.

Platform: Business Central 28 (Runtime 16.0) · Target: Cloud (Online) · Publisher: BCAppCo

TaxRateCentral extends the standard Business Central sales tax features. It does not replace them. Business Central calculates and posts the sales tax with its standard engine.

This guide takes a new user from installation to a first automatic tax area assignment. It then documents each functional area.
